Orange County Center for Contemporary Art – Surrealist Art Exhibition featuring Surrealist works by my CTE students!
My students were asked to exhibit their work at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art. In this unit we studied Surrealism, the characteristics that make up the movement, and some of the great artists like René Magritte, Remedios Varo and Salvidar Dali. Student’s manipulated images in Adobe Photoshop and had to have a minimum of 3 characteristics of surrealism discussed. (Use of scale, levitation, juxtaposition, dislocation, transparency, metamorphosis.)
